Originally from a distinct location of San Miguel where this species was observed growing amongst a patch of giant bamboo. The unique growth of this verrucosum stood out compared to other populations in nearby areas because it lacked more darker coloring and was already displaying mature foliage but at a much smaller size untypical to other locales. Unfortunately years later upon returning to the original site it was completely cleared out to build a water treatment facility.
