This particular locale of philodendron hails from the lowland rainforests of the Osa Peninnsula in southern Costa Rica and makes for a fantastic “shingler” on backgrounds/ mounts such as rocks and wood. These philodendrons are a common sight usually growing in the lowlands of many forests against trees and fallen logs and has been observed from Central America all the way down to the amazonas of Peru. This particular clone tends to stay on the smaller size while other locales typically have bigger foliage that match what are seasonally available in chain-retail gardening stores.
