A wonderful and seldom seen species from the Ecuadorean Amazon. It is found in the Amazonian understory along the Rio Napo and beyond, usually growing in sandy banks along streams and rivers protected by the day’s hot sun by growing under the shelter of other much bigger plants. This Geonoma is one of the smaller sized species and, although it can be a challenge to grow, is still quite a specimen to add to the collection for sure.
