One of the “holy grail” species of cyclanths amongst collectors. It is one of the few dark colored plants in the world and maybe one of very few cyclanthes from Central America. A quick Google search will reveal its natural habitat which is in the understory in and alongside streams (this species definitely likes it wet).
It is a great terrarium subject as it stays on the smaller side and very little maintenance is needed for longterm success when kept in a humid environment.
