Found in the Sanggau region of West Kalimantan, this genus of rheophytic aroids are extremely rare not only in cultivation but also in nature. This particular unknown or yet-to-be-described species is threatened by deforestation as it grows in just one mountain area that is losing land to the timber trade day by day. We are currently engaged in actively trying to purchase lots with watersheds and streams in order to preserve the remaining native flora which include this species.
