A unique terrestrial that grows in bog-like conditions that is sensitive to drying out. It likes lower lighting and to be kept damp. Over the years we’ve found that more moss based substrates are favorable for this species even over clay. When receiving/repotting this plant it is common the leaves melt back to the rhizome and to not panicking as within a week or two it will sprout new leaves. Once established this plant can be hardy but it does not like being uprooted and moved around. Also to be noted is when conditions are too dry the leaves will also met back to the rhizome as an energy preservation tactic.
