This fern spreads vegetatively by frond and can become quite a prolific fern if allowed to run rampant in favorable conditions (typical moist terrarium conditions). This species we have found throughout the Colombian and Ecuadorean Choco with ferns offered from plants originally from Narino, Colombia and Mindo, Ecuador.
