Anthurium giganteum

$0.00 USD

Anthurium giganteum is an iconic species of the Ecuadorean Chocó that can be seen along roadsides when traveling through the main roads of Pichincha and San Miguel. These anthuriums can be a little tricky to establish, but once they root are generally happy and don’t skip a beat producing a new violet colored leaf each month.

We have come to the conclusion that the easiest way to root new divisions and young plants are to acclimate them in a higher humidity setting in pure long fiber sphagnum. Once the plant has begun to grow more roots, it can then be transplanted into a typical aroid substrate mix.
