A widespread species found from Meta, Colombia down to the Loreto Amazonas of Peru and probably western Brazil as well. The unique foliage adaptation is most likely to be able to tolerate heavy storms and winds since this species is usually found high in the tree tops. A very forgiving species that makes for a great terrarium subject and even a houseplant.
