This Amazonian denizen hails from the Amazonian understory and bears a resemblance to the asiatic labisia pumila. They grow similarly to Labisia and can be divided by rhizomes as well. This species we know also occurs throughout the Morona and most likely the Peruvian and west Brazilian Amazonas.
