A relatively easy yet somewhat uncommon species of Amazonian philodendron that hails from the amazon. Old records indicate the name of this species is still undetermined despite this species being in cultivation for quite some time now. It is found in spotty locations throughout the Ecuadorean amazon and much down the the Rio Napo towards Iquitos in Peru. Only found in lower elevations this species excels in growth during the warmer seasons. It can tolerate a wide range of conditions thus making it a unique addition to the windowsill collection or glass house subject if kept in check with regular pruning in order to maintain the unique slime trident shaped leaves.
