Another fairly common Amazonian species originally from the amazon of the rio Napo in Ecuador this species tends to be more of a forest floor dweller than a canopy growing epiphyte. I prefer to grow this species as a glass house subject since it does not tolerate extended periods of temperature fluctuations therefore care must be taken to not subject this species to cold temperatures. This standard form tends to stay all green in color unlike some clones from Peru where particular locales have foliage with red undersides.
