A smaller sized Gobenia section begonia that is found from central Colombia down to northern Ecuador. There are many clones of different locales in circulation these days and it's almost impossible to know which one is which, unfortunately, but most plants in circulation are originally of the older specimen from the Lita Province of Ecuador.
This species is great in terrariums for damp or water wicking backgrounds with some air circulation. Once established it can become a weed, but only in the right conditions will this happen, otherwise most growers struggle keeping this species.
