A larger sized species common throughout the pacific Choco from Puerto Quito up to the San Lorenzo region of Ecuador. This species is very prolific as flowering and seed dispersion is abundant during the raining season. This species of yet to be confirmed cyclanthe are often found growing on wood or moss covered boulders in and around streams. Perfect for warm humid tropical greenhouses or large terraria, despite its size this species is susceptible to dehydration and care must be taken.
