Originally collected in the outskirts of Quito long ago in the Andean hillsides. This species in recent years I’ve actually begun to see more around the city of Quito myself in particular a urban park across my street where it is abundant alongside various tillandsia and other bromeliad species in the mature trees. Berries of this species are a pale purple/ pearl white and is quite hardy being able to grow in a wide variety of conditions. For now we are offering cuttings of this species with aerial roots as we have an abundance of it currently
