A personal favorite Amazonian philodendron known for its very large foliage and ease of carethat make it very appealing to collectors and windowsill growers. It tolerates a wide range of lighting conditions but is better to be grown in bright filtered light as much as possible. It’s done well as a seasonal outdoor grower in the climate of Los Angeles but has been used as a prized landscaping plant in the southern tropical regions such as Florida. Care must be taken to regularly feed this species otherwise growth on this species will be stunted and not fulfill its potential. Philodendron deflexum is a fairly common species throughout all the Amazonia in Southern America.
