Juvenile growth resembles the Asiatic genus of Freycenitia’s vining stage growth. Once this species has settled on a favorable growing location the upper primary foliage will begin to change bearing resemblance to typical jungle cyclanthes such as of Asplundia. We want to thank our friend Michael who did the investigation to identify this species. bissectus is widespread throughout the tropics in Central and South America in lower elevations.
