one of the most unique and rarer bromeliads found in the rainforests of southern Colombia. New axils develop a beautiful fluorescent purple color while mature leaves have a mottled pattern of green on them. This species will grow either as a terrestrial or epiphyte in wet soils or moss such as on trees or logs. So long as it is kept in higher humidity and given ample moisture this species has been relatively easy for us to grow and propogate via runner divisions.
