A species originally discovered in Sumatra and was unofficially named after its discoverer by his friends who were with him at the time. The name was originally meant to be a joke, but social media took the moniker and ran with it. Even I was surprised until the discoverer told us he never meant for that to be the actual name of the begonia since he found other variants of it as well, but unfortunately it has stuck, despite working with a taxonomist to officially name it. An easy and vibrant colored species for those wanting to try their hand with begonias that are different.
