This larger terrestrial growing species of Philodendron is a recent addition to cultivation that was supposedly found in the amazonas of Caqueta. Unfortunately these plants were acquired second hand some time ago is the most information we have ever received on the origin. Based on personal experience finding different clones of pastazum it is very possible this could be a related species as some of the most northern Amazonian philodendron pastazums do tend to be more green and lack the distinct light colored center they are known for. Until a proper identification is made we will keep it as the current name and hope to find more about it in the future. We fill this has potential to be utilized as a landscaping plant in the southern hemisphere but will do just as well as a houseplant and glasshouse subject.
