Another uncommon anthurium that is the parent plant of many popular anthurium cultivars and hybrids that circulate in the horticultural industry. This purple-flowered gem has unfortunately become nearly forgotten and faded from popular cultivation. It is one of the only purple flowering aroids in the Neotropics, with a unique growing habit primarily found in streams as a rheophyte.
