Originally from the Carchi area of northern Ecuador this Colombian/Ecuadorean species has been observed in various cloud forest elevations from both the choco and amazonas. This seldom offered vining species of philodendron is considered a rarity because of its unique characteristic of having a prominent white coloring that develops around the edges of the leaves as specimens mature. It can be easily grown as a houseplant or glass house subject.
